Tao Yoga is one of the names used in the West to refer to the prac­tices based on ancient Taoist knowl­edge and Tra­di­tion­al Chi­nese Med­i­cine, that aim at cul­ti­vat­ing health, relax­ation and gen­er­al well-being, pre­vent­ing dis­ease, increas­ing longevi­ty and achiev­ing bal­ance at all lev­els (phys­i­cal, men­tal and emo­tion­al).


Accord­ing to Chi­nese Tradi­cional Med­i­cine, the life-force ener­gy (Chi) flows through the merid­i­ans of the body (“ener­gy high­ways” that are used in acupunc­ture and shi­at­su). To have good health is impor­tant to have a high lev­el of Chi and to bal­ance Yin and Yang ener­gies.

In this work­shop we will prac­tice:

Taoist med­i­ta­tions: The most well-known Taoist med­i­ta­tions are the Inner Smile and the Six Heal­ing Sounds, and use con­cen­tra­tion and visu­al­iza­tion with the aim of relax­ing the ner­vous sys­tem and the mind, releas­ing neg­a­tive ener­gy and neg­a­tive emo­tions stag­nat­ing in the inter­nal organs, as well as increas­ing the inter­nal ener­gy.

Chi self-mas­sage: This self-mas­sage is prac­ticed on the ener­gy merid­i­ans to acti­vate them.

Chi Kung: The prac­tice of cre­at­ing and stor­ing vital ener­gy, through gen­tle move­ments and con­scious breath­ing in a “mov­ing med­i­ta­tion”.

Tao Yin (Chi­nese Yoga): It could be con­sid­ered as a Chi Kung prac­ticed in lying and sit­ting posi­tions. It aligns bones and joints, relax­es de psoas and strength­ens the CORE and the inter­nal organs.

This week­end work­shop is open to all. Begin­ners wel­come.

Price 40 euros.
